Building Updates Building Tomorrow Today Home ← Older posts Grand Opening – July 17, 2011 Posted on August 16, 2011 by nturner The Grand Opening of our new facilities was on July 17th. We gathered in the Sanctuary for a short worship service, and then moved to the new concourse for a ribbon cutting ceremony. The older part of the building is now undergoing renovations and will become the new youth center. This is scheduled to be completed in October. Posted in Building Updates | Comments Off Building Update 5-5-2011 Posted on May 5, 2011 by nturner Work on the exterior of the building has resumed now that the weather is warming up. The sign on the south side of the new building facing I-94 is currently being installed. The majority of painting is finished on the interior. Woodwork and other trim pieces are now being installed. Food service equipment and countertops are installed in the cafe and coffee bar. Carpet is being installed in the classrooms and hallways of the kids areas. Painting is finished in the dining area and the ceiling is now being put in. This is looking into the current building from the new building. The ceilings are currently being finished and flooring should start soon. Hallways around the classrooms have all been painted and electrical work is almost finished. Painting is finished in the elementary auditorium and the stage has been built. Stone and tile work is almost finished on the fireplace in the dining area. Painting is almost finished in the main concourse and they have started to install the ceiling. This is looking into the new bookstore from the concourse. This is part of the hallway that wraps around the entire section. Drop ceilings are also being installed in the preschool classrooms. This is the range hood in the new kitchen. Drywall is going up in the rest of the building as well. This is the main hallway to connect all the new areas. Drywall is also finished in the Elementary section. Once the mudding is finished, painting should start soon. These are the supports for the overhang over the sidewalk.
